How we are managing consultations in these challenging times. 

Mindfulness

Using present moment awareness to make friends with ourselves and our world.

During lockdown I have been offering one to one mindfulness sessions over the phone and internet, and I am happy to continue to offer this way of working. However we have been working hard to ensure that the clinic is a safe environment for face to face consultations and so in the coming weeks I will be ready to welcome anyone who would prefer to meet in person.


The 8 week course MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction)

This course is designed to give you a thorough grounding in Mindfulness, and a chance to establish your own regular meditation practice. 

I have been offering the MBSR course on a one to one basis for some years.

Renewing Mindfulness 

In addition to the 8 week course, I also offer one to one Mindfulness based enquiry sessions. This is a chance to renew your mindfulness practice if you have already done the course, and you might be feeling you have lost your way a little.


Mindfulness Meditations and Practices for Healing and Well Being

This is suitable for those who may have little or no prior experience with Mindfulness.  A chance to talk and explore concerns in your life, and find a new way through guided meditation practices.


I have practiced Acupuncture for 34 years and I am Herbalist, as well as being a Mindfulness teacher, first and foremost I am an holistic practitioner. As an Acupuncturist I always had a special interest in stress related conditions, this was the first driving force behind becoming an practitioner, and remains my passion today, which is why I am so happy to be able to offer Mindfulness training.


I have worked one to one with clients for more than 30 years, and I prefer to offer the Mindfulness course one to one, and to couples who want to embark on this amazing journey together.


My background in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine very much informs my way of working with Mindfulness. I find this knowledge of the energetics of the body/mind to be invaluable.


My inspiration

The teachers who I turn to for inspiration include Jack Kornfield, Tara Brach, Flint Sparks, Pema Chodron, Thich Nhat Hanh.


I regularly attend meditation retreats to deepen my own practice and to learn from different teachers, it is only from my own experience of the practices that I can share them with you effectively.
